Why did you start practicing yoga?

I went through a major health journey after graduating college and was on a search to find an exercise that I enjoyed. I tried almost everything before finally giving hot yoga a chance. My practice has grown and changed and morphed since that first decision to jump in. And my search for my favorite way to move my body was over!

Describe what students can expect when they come to your classes?

In any class, I bring good vibes and want you to know who you are in the moment. Not who you were yesterday or who you hope to be in the future. I do tend towards power style yoga. Breath matching movement. Heat. Challenge and exploration. I’m very passionate about body positivity so often that theme is woven into my classes.

Oh, and a quality playlist.

What’s your style?

On the mat: Baptiste (hot power yoga).

Off the mat: laughter, comfy clothes, soy lattes, puppy cuddles, wine and chocolate, travel, sunshine, 3 mile runs, dancing around, friends, family, different hair styles, mountains, fresh air, and Sunday naps.

What would your final meal be if this was your last day on earth?

Oh man… give me all the Lebanese food, a gallon of mashed potatoes, and chocolate fondue (with all the fixings!)

What is your favorite song or artist and why?

Oh gosh, only one?? Hmmm… I can’t do it! Andrew McMahon, Beyoncé, Macklemore, Trevor Hall, Panic At The Disco, Ed Sheeran… pretty much anything, but not into country (sorry!)

Who or what inspires you?

My husband, Sean. He is the most dedicated, loyal person you’d ever meet. He does so much for us and cares deeply about those he surrounds himself with. He’s the yin to my yang. I’m naturally very flighty, and he keeps me grounded.

What is a quote you live by?

“Having a soft heart in a cruel world is courage, not weakness.” - Katherine Henson

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?

God’s grace. Coffee is a close second.

If you could live in a book, TV show or Movie, what would it be?

Oh, everything that I like is too dramatic to live in. I love the show This Is Us, but I’d just be crying for my entire life… so I pick The Office, but only when Michael Scott was still there.

What animal best represents you and why?

Balto – part dog, part wolf. Got a wild side that craves adventure, but there’s nothing like being home and with your people.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?

Teleport! I always tell my husband to get on that invention…. I’d use it so I can sleep in and skip all the driving.
