Why did you start practicing yoga?

I started practicing yoga on vacation because I was given a pass for a free class.  I thought, “what a relaxing thing to do on vacation?”  Then I went and it was a power class and I had never sweat or had my muscles so sore ever! So it got my attention.  I quickly found a studio and started practicing.  My practice went from always loving power classes to enjoying the gentle way we can restore and care for our bodies in other classes.

Describe what students can expect when they come to your classes?

Well, it depends on the class!  You can expect a hard power class that is fun and energetic if you come to a power class.  You can expect slow and gentle style if you come to my yin or slow flow classes.  You will always be able to count on a smile and a person that truly cares about you!

What’s your style?

My style is mainly vinyasa in the studio.  Outside of the studio my style is city, country, loving life, enjoying good food, doing lots of styles of yoga, getting the most out of each day with and honest, loving, hard working heart!

What would your final meal be if this was your last day on earth?

Cupcakes, pizza, ice cream-graters mint chip, indian food, Mediterranean food…its gonna be a big meal!

What is your favorite song or artist and why?

I like way too many styles of music to pick one!  I like Christian artists like Sara Groves and Audrey Assad, Krishna Das, hip hop-any, country, and pop.   Pretty much anything goes depending on my mood.

Who or what inspires you?

My husband.  He is willing to lay down everything for the hopes and dreams of his family.  Yet, he never complains.  He is consistent in everything that he does.  He is always dependable.  He always knows the right words to say.  He is the most tender, caring, loving and kind hearted person I know.

What is a quote you live by?

“You live, you learn.”  This quote always reminds me that I am never done learning.  I learn by living  life fully and  enjoying each step of my path.  There is so much out there to experience, love, and learn about!  Sometimes we learn the hard way and sometimes the learning is fun!

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?

God and my family

If you could live in a book, TV show or Movie, what would it be?

I’ve always wanted to wear clothing from the Victorian era, so any old time movie.  However, I know after two days I would really just want my yoga pants back!

What animal best represents you and why?

I’ve been told a horse because they are strong, yet graceful, run wild and free, and can work really hard.  I don’t really know though.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?

Teleportation. I would love to visit so many places in the world!  And I would love to bounce to and from all of my kids events so I wouldn’t miss anything!
