Why did you start practicing yoga?

After the birth of my second child, I was determined to get back into shape. I signed up for a 5K and started training by running and taking various exercise classes (cardio, toning, boot camps). I really enjoyed the running but the exercise classes were just OK. So, I signed up for a power yoga class with Tristana Foutz and immediately became hooked! I loved how great I felt after each class and it didn’t take long for me to see the physical benefits of yoga as well as all the other amazing benefits. Running and yoga became my regular exercise routine for a few years and then I discovered BARRE! After my first BARRE class, I was like “Ahh Ha! This is it! Running for cardio, yoga for strength and flexibility, and BARRE for toning!”

Describe what students can expect when they come to your classes?

In my BARRE class, you can expect a high energy, intense, full body workout that will make your body sweat and your muscles burn. I offer modifications and challenges in every class to meet the needs of all fitness levels. Every class will have different exercises that will help build strong, long-lean muscles.

What would your final meal be if this was your last day on earth?

A great steak dinner with a delicious salad and a side of veggies followed by dessert…either cheesecake, ice cream, or Malley’s chocolate!

What is your favorite song or artist and why?

I LOVE all music! I especially like top 40s pop and contemporary Christian! I enjoy listening to songs that have a great beat and an encouraging message! My playlist is ever changing!

“If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it”

What is one thing you couldn’t live without?

My faith, family, and friends!

If you could live in a book, TV show or Movie, what would it be?

It would be so much fun to be in any movie with Reese Witherspoon or Jennifer Aniston! After rehearsals, we could go to our favorite BARRE and yoga classes!

What animal best represents you and why?

A momma grizzly bear for sure! They are social, devoted, sensitive, attentive, strong, and protective. Also, I’m full of Wadsworth Grizzly pride! GO GRIZZLIES!!!

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?

I wish I had the power to HEAL those who are suffering.
