Why did you start practicing yoga?
In 2002 I took my first power yoga class and was hooked! I was already teaching group fitness classes at a gym, so when the opportunity presented itself to teach yoga later that year, I jumped at the chance. I've been teaching yoga ever since.
Describe what students can expect when they come to your classes?
Creative, challenging, nourishing, and insightful. And my daughter says "gooey".
What’s your style?
My style is flow-ey (that's a word, right?)! My style is a mix of Baron Baptiste and Shiva Rea, with a dash of Sharon Gannon. My own perspective and silliness is the whipped topping!
What would your final meal be if this was your last day on earth?
French fries and a dirty diet coke.
What is your favorite song or artist and why?
I love Micheal Franti and Coldplay. But Staying Alive by the Bee Gees is my favorite song of all time.
Who or what inspires you?
My faith in God, my sweet babies, and dark chocolate. Mostly dark chocolate.
What is a quote you live by?
It's all good!
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
Looooooong, hot showers.
If you could live in a book, TV show or Movie, what would it be?
Moana. Seriously though.
What animal best represents you and why?
I wish I was a dolphin, but I'm probably a rabbit...I have so many kids!!!
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
I wish I had the power to clean my house with the snap of my fingers. There would be a lot more peace in the world if my house could stay clean.
I recieved my 200hour Teaching Certificate from Amy Boswell-Graves at Yoga Bliss in Akron.
