Tami Schneider is a senior yoga teacher, mentor, and educator with over 25 years of experience training teachers to lead with clarity, confidence, and care. She is the Founder of Cleveland Yoga and the creator of Practice with GRIT, a methodology grounded in integrity, functional alignment, and skillful leadership.

Rooted in the Baptiste Methodology, Tami has led teacher trainings, immersions, and continuing education programs throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Kenya. Her work bridges lineage-based practice with modern teaching intelligence—prioritizing precision, consent, and relational awareness in hands-on assists.

Tami is known for her no-nonsense, student-first approach to assisting—one that emphasizes reading bodies clearly, honoring autonomy, and choosing touch with intention. Rather than defaulting to habit or force, her teaching supports experienced teachers in refining how and why they assist, and when not assisting is the most skillful choice.

With decades of studio ownership and advanced teacher training leadership, Tami brings both depth and practicality into the room.

Assist with Clarity reflects her core belief:
“Powerful assists are not about doing more; they’re about seeing more, choosing wisely, and leading with trust.”
